BigHPC participated in the UT Austin Portugal 2020 Annual Conference, held by the UT Austin Portugal Program. The hybrid event (online and in person) was held on October 11 and 12.

The conference, under the motto “Innovation at the Intersection of Academia and Industry”, included two keynote speakers and four thematic masterclasses – with a list of academic experts and companies from the industry and health fields in Portugal, USA and Germany.

The BigHPC team presented a poster of the project at the E-Poster Gallery, on October 12. “It was an opportunity to present the BigHPC project’s accomplishments to the date, before a jury composed of international experts selected by the FCT, and to get their feedback and recommendations for the project’s successful outcomes”, stated Bruno Antunes, BigHPC’s Research Manager.

The main goal of this initiative is to reinforce the collaboration between academia and industry with research on emerging technologies.
