The INESC TEC team has published a paper entitled “BDUS: implementing block devices in user space” at the 14th ACM International Systems and Storage Conference (SYSTOR ’21), as part of BigHPC project, which took place online, between June 14 and 16, 2021. This paper was also selected as best paper runner-up to this conference.
This publication proposes BDUS, a framework that enables the development of block device drivers in user space, and provide a fully-functional, open-source implementation for Linux.
The authors of this paper are Alberto Faria, Ricardo Macedo, José Pereira, and João Paulo, from INESC TEC and University of Minho.
